📺 Live Draw Night

Every main competition winner is picked live on camera on draw night, in front of everyone watching. Nothing happens behind closed doors — you see the competition close, the winning ticket number chosen at random, and the result announced in real time.

1. The competition closes at the time shown on its page — no more entries are taken.
2. We go live and draw the winning ticket at random from every confirmed entry (paid and free postal entries alike).
3. The winner is announced on the stream and contacted directly.
4. The full entry list is published on our Winners & Results page — every ticket number — so you can check the winning ticket yourself.

How it works (commit → reveal)

1. Commit (before sales close): we generate a secret random server_seed and publish its fingerprint commit_hash = SHA-256(server_seed). A hash can't be reversed, so the seed stays secret — but it's now locked: we can never change it later.
2. Draw: when the timer ends we combine the seed with public entropy and compute SHA-256(server_seed ‖ entropy). The first 15 hex digits become a number, and number mod (tickets sold) picks the winning position.
3. Reveal: we publish the server_seed. Anyone can confirm SHA-256(server_seed) equals the commit we posted earlier, and re-run the winner calculation to get the exact same result.

Because the commit was published before any tickets were drawn, we couldn't have rigged the outcome — and because the seed is revealed afterwards, you can prove it.

Run the same SHA-256 anywhere and compare it to the published commit hash:

If the output matches the commit hash we published before the draw, the result is genuine. The same scheme secures instant wins (the spinner, Pick a Box and Bank of Nitrous all publish a seed commitment too).
